Health and Safety

At RCS the health and safety of our employees, the public and anyone else which our work has an effect on is our upmost priority. This is why we endeavour to train all our staff to the highest levels possible regarding their own safety and the safety of others. Our operatives have various training accreditations including:

• SMSTS – Site management safety training scheme
• SSSTS – Site supervisor safety training scheme
• CSCS – Construction skills certification scheme
• CPCS – Construction plant competence scheme
• SWQR – Streetworks qualification register
• City and guilds confined space training
• Confined space training
• Slinger / Banksman accreditation
• Abrasive wheels accreditation
• First aid
• First aid (appointed person)

As a company we also carry accreditation from numerous health and safety bodies including CHAS and SMAS. In order to maintain our high standards of health and safety we currently employ an independent consultant, Compass Management Solutions Ltd, to carry out regular inspections on all our sites. Compass then compile a report to advise us of any areas which require attention.
